Volunteers Always Needed and Appreciated!

We are always looking for volunteers. Volunteers are an essential element of our success in event production. If you haven't yet had the pleasure, volunteering at the SLO GranFondo is a great introduction to the sport of adventure racing. All volunteers receive:

There are many benefits to volunteering, such has learning about the sport, spending time with great people, being in the majestic Central Coast outdoors and helping other's achieve their personal and athletic goals. For those new to the sport, volunteering is a great opportunity to learn the ropes. For experienced competitors, volunteering provides a chance to give back to the community while having a great time sharing experiences with other racers. Volunteering is an event and an adventure in itself with varying skill types and skill levels. Assignments vary with your experience, interests and skill level. What do race volunteers do? 
Registration, marshaling, aid stations, and “other duties”. New volunteers are always paired with someone more experienced.

What should I bring? 
Weather appropriate clothing, sunglasses, sun hat, warm clothes, water, reading material, snack food, day backpack, sunscreen, insect repellent, camp chair, camera, emailed volunteer information (containing directions, accommodations, etc.), enthusiasm, patience. Reading material is very important, as you may have several hours of downtime waiting for competitors.
